Inspired by founder Julie Easterbrooks' visit to a cat cafe in Nottingham, England, during a delayed 2019 honeymoon, this 3,047-square-foot haven partners with four local shelters, including Chesapeake Humane Society, to house friendly, healthy, and adoptable cats in two spacious rooms: a high-energy kitten area and a serene cat lounge. Guests enjoy a menu of espresso drinks, craft beers, wines, and food options like vegan and vegetarian dishes, kosher hot dogs, and "Res Q" BBQ brisket sandwiches, all within a mining-themed interior featuring local art. With outdoor seating at the Purrgola, event hosting for parties, and all adoption fees benefiting shelters, Kitty Kingdom welcomes cat lovers, families, and tourists to connect with felines in a cozy, community-driven space.
