Hogoneko Salon Nyannya
Hogoneko Salon Nyannya is a small rescue cat salon in Higashinakahama, Joto Ward, a short walk from Midoribashi Station. It is run by its owner together with volunteers and supporters, and many of its cats were rescued from Osaka Castle Park. The salon works more like a home shelter than a typical cat cafe: alongside friendly cats that roam the floor, it cares for shy, elderly and sick cats, and kittens are taken in regularly. Some floor cats play with claws out or nip, so visitors are advised to keep hands away from their faces. All of the cats are looking for adoptive homes, and placements are made after a trial period. The salon relies partly on donations of supplies. It opens in the afternoon and is closed on Wednesdays.
