Nyacle
Nyacle, also called Neko no Wakusei Nyacle, is an adoption-focused rescue cat cafe in Shigita, Joto Ward, about a minute on foot from the south exit of JR Kyobashi Station and around six minutes from Keihan Kyobashi Station. Around 12 rescued cats live at the cafe at any time, taken in through partner rescue groups from situations such as street life, abandonment and hoarding or breeder collapses. A dedicated room houses FIV-positive cats to help them find homes. Visits are charged by the hour with drinks included, extensions are sold in 15-minute blocks, and a monthly membership lowers the rate. Booking through LINE is recommended because groups are kept small. Children below third grade of elementary school can only visit on the private-hire plan in the late morning. The cafe holds monthly adoption events and runs cat-care classes for future adopters.

Hogoneko Salon Nyannya
Osaka1.0 mi / 1.6 km
Hogoneko Salon Nyannya is a small rescue cat salon in Higashinakahama, Joto Ward, a short walk from Midoribashi Station. It is run by its owner together with volunteers and supporters, and many of its cats were rescued from Osaka Castle Park. The salon works more like a home shelter than a typical cat cafe: alongside friendly cats that roam the floor, it cares for shy, elderly and sick cats, and kittens are taken in regularly. Some floor cats play with claws out or nip, so visitors are advised to keep hands away from their faces. All of the cats are looking for adoptive homes, and placements are made after a trial period. The salon relies partly on donations of supplies. It opens in the afternoon and is closed on Wednesdays.
