Hogoneko no Ie ARIGATO
Hogoneko no Ie ARIGATO is an adoption-focused rescue cat cafe on the second floor of a building in Rokkakubashi, Kanagawa Ward, Yokohama, three minutes on foot from Kishine-koen Station on the Blue Line. It was opened in 2017 by the head of a Japanese animal welfare nonprofit, and the cafe's income helps fund rescue and trap-neuter-return work. More than 20 cats are in its care, and people who wish to adopt are interviewed after visiting. English and Spanish are spoken, and handmade cat goods are sold. In late 2025 a crowdfunding campaign raised more than its goal to cover the cafe's rent, utilities and cat food.
