Hogo Neko Cafe Pili Ohana

Hogo Neko Cafe Pili Ohana is a rescue cat cafe in an old house in the Takeda district of Asago, at the foot of the Takeda Castle ruins. It opened in March 2023 as the first rescue cat cafe in southern Tajima. The cats come from local street litters, overcrowded multi-cat households, unsuitable pet sales and breeding operations, and the cafe holds adoption viewings every day it is open. Time in the cat room is charged in blocks from 15 minutes up to several hours, with drinks ordered separately, and the cafe serves lunch plates of rice balls made with local ingredients. There is no age limit, but children of junior high school age and younger must come with a guardian. The cafe is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, weekends and national holidays, and the room can be booked privately before opening. Free parking is two minutes away on foot.
