Nekostin

Nekostin is a cat cafe in the castle town of Fukuchiyama, close to Fukuchiyama Castle and across from the city hall. It opened in April 2024 and was the city's first cafe where visitors could spend time with rescue cats. About 20 cats live there, all taken in from local animal welfare groups. Visits are charged in 20, 40 and 60-minute blocks with 30-minute extensions and a daily maximum, and stays of 40 minutes or more include a cat treat. Group and student discounts are offered, a flat-rate night pack runs on Thursday and Saturday evenings, and the room can be rented privately. Elementary school children cannot visit without an adult. Food and drinks are sold, outside food is allowed, payment can be cashless and parking is free. Hours change by day and the cafe closes on irregular days, posted weekly.
