Hogo Neko Cafe 285

Hogo Neko Cafe 285, read as Nyago, is a rescue cat cafe on the second floor of the 285 Building in Shimazakicho, Tsu, about 15 minutes on foot from the east exit of Tsu Station. It opened in July 2018 and has around ten rescued cats, born to stray mothers or abandoned, most of them relaxed with people. All of the cats are looking for adoptive homes, and adoption is discussed in person with the staff. Visits are charged per 30 minutes or per hour with one drink order, made by the cafe downstairs, and there is also a free-time plan. Preschool children can visit on Wednesdays only. Bookings can be made online or by phone during opening hours. The cafe is closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays and closes an hour later at weekends and on holidays. Parking is available in front and behind the building.
