Gil Cafe is a small rescue cat cafe on the ground floor of a building in Sinwol-dong, Yangcheon-gu, near Hwagok. It opened in 2026 to promote the adoption of stray and abandoned cats from the area, and many of its residents are kittens and young cats looking for homes. Part of its income goes to two local shelters, and the owner supports neighbourhood volunteers who care for street cats in Gangseo and Yangcheon. Entry includes a drink, with a lower rate for elementary school children and free entry for preschoolers. The room has several cat towers and the cats are friendly.
