Feeline Good Cat Cafe

This location permanently closed on June 21, 2025.

Feeline ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌Good Cat Café was a cat cafe on Southeast 2nd Place in downtown Gainesville, in a two-story space whose upstairs served as a quiet seating area for studying. Owner Francesca Hall opened it in June 2021 as the first cat cafe in North Central Florida, in partnership with the Humane Society of North Central Florida, which supplied the cats and handled their vaccinations and vet care while they lived at the cafe as fosters. Visitors bought coffee, tea and baked goods and booked the cat room in 30-minute or one-hour slots, with walk-ins welcome when space allowed, and approved adopters could take a cat home the same day. The cafe passed 1,000 adoptions in May 2025 and closed on June 21, 2025, its fourth anniversary, after struggling with downtown rent, limited parking and business that rose and fell with the student population. Its remaining cats returned to the humane society.
