Chacolathé
Chacolathé is a cat bar and tea room on Avenue Roi Albert in Andenne, a town on the Meuse between Namur and Huy. Alexandra, its founder, combined her two passions, cats and baking, when she opened it in August 2021; the name joins chat, chocolat and thé. The cats roam freely in the room and are offered for adoption, with a profile for each one on the cafe's website, and close to 500 cats have been rehomed so far. Visitors can simply come for homemade cakes, cookies, tea and hot chocolate in a calm setting; the cats have a separate area where they can retreat. A homemade brunch is served on the first Sunday of the month by reservation, and there are board game evenings, craft workshops and other events. It is open on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday afternoons.
