Le Mysticat
Le Mysticat is a cat bar on Rue des Deux Auvelais in Auvelais, part of Sambreville between Namur and Charleroi. Emilie, a veterinary assistant who previously worked in a shelter, and Léa opened it in February 2026, and the first adoptions came soon after. The cats come from rescue associations and live in the bar while they wait for a new home. The interior is themed around magic and fairy tales, with a witchy, mysterious decor, and the shelves hold books, board games and colouring materials. The menu centres on hot and iced chocolates, chai lattes, coffee and homemade cakes and cookies. There is no entry fee. The bar runs themed weekends, a private reading club and other events, and booking a table is advised for busy weekends. It is open from Wednesday to Sunday, with later hours on Friday and Saturday.

The shop specialises in wellbeing and personal development, psychology, spirituality, ecology, nature and gardening, feminism and LGBTIQ+ titles, oracle decks, fantasy and children's books, and also sells gifts. Bar les ChaChoux is a cat bar on Rue Gustave Fiévet in Sombreffe, a village between Namur and Charleroi. It was founded by two long-time friends, Valérie and Stéphanie, who act as a foster family for the SPA de Charleroi: the cats living in the bar come from the shelter and can be adopted when visitor and cat get on, and more than a hundred have found homes this way. The bar follows an eco-friendly approach, with second-hand furniture and decoration, local suppliers and Belgian soft drinks and beers, including a house beer. The kitchen serves simple homemade dishes such as spaghetti bolognese and croque-monsieur, with vegetarian versions, alongside pastries and hot drinks. There is a reading corner, a shelf of cat-themed gifts, board game evenings, crochet and other workshops, and children's birthday parties. It is open from Wednesday to Saturday.
