Le ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​‌​‌‌​​​​​​‌​‌​‌​‌‌‌‌‌‌​​‌​‌​​​‌⁠Mysticat is a cat bar on Rue des Deux Auvelais in Auvelais, part of Sambreville between Namur and Charleroi. Emilie, a veterinary assistant who previously worked in a shelter, and Léa opened it in February 2026, and the first adoptions came soon after. The cats come from rescue associations and live in the bar while they wait for a new home. The interior is themed around magic and fairy tales, with a witchy, mysterious decor, and the shelves hold books, board games and colouring materials. The menu centres on hot and iced chocolates, chai lattes, coffee and homemade cakes and cookies. There is no entry fee. The bar runs themed weekends, a private reading club and other events, and booking a table is advised for busy weekends. It is open from Wednesday to Sunday, with later hours on Friday and Saturday.

Librairie ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌​‌​‌​​‌​‌​‌​‌‌​‌​‌​​​‌​​​‌​‌​‌‌⁠Graines de Vie is an independent bookshop on Rue de la Station in Tamines, part of Sambreville, a short walk from Tamines railway station. It moved here from Sombreffe in May 2024 into a larger shop and calls itself the first cat bookshop in Belgium: cats from a partner rescue association, Rosie et Nous, live among the shelves and are available for adoption. The shop specialises in wellbeing and personal development, psychology, spirituality, ecology, nature and gardening, feminism and LGBTIQ+ titles, oracle decks, fantasy and children's books, and also sells gifts. Browsing is free, and the cats are calm and often keep to themselves. The bookshop holds monthly creative afternoons and other events. It is open from Wednesday to Saturday.
