Chez Miss Miaouw
Chez Miss Miaouw is a cat bar and tea room on Rue des Brasseurs in Namur's old town, a few steps from Place d'Armes and the Meuse. Opened in 2018 as the city's first cat bar, it was taken over in 2023 by two cousins. About ten cats live in the cafe, which acts as a foster home for the rescue association Poils et Moustaches; all of them are up for adoption, and the association handles the adoptions. The drinks are non-alcoholic, from coffee and tea to milkshakes and smoothies, served with homemade pastries that change with the seasons and a few savoury dishes, with plant-based milk available. Seating is spread over a main room and a lower room. Board games are available, and the cafe holds themed and game evenings and a Sunday brunch by reservation. It is open from Wednesday to Sunday.
