Founded by Anna Neugebauer, it opened in August 2022 on Powstańców Śląskich Street with four domestic cats and later moved to its current address. Around ten permanent resident cats live there, from rescued domestic cats to a cat taken from a Ukrainian backyard breeder and a pedigree Bengal, and the cafe is also a registered foster home that takes cats from the Opole municipal animal shelter, so at least one cat is usually up for adoption; 17 cats were adopted through it in 2024. Guests must be at least eight, keep noise down, not feed the cats and let them decide when to approach. Coffee, tea, lemonades and cakes are served.

Herbaciarnia Kocie Oczy is a tea room with resident cats in a courtyard off ul. Piotrkowska 25, at the northern end of Łódź's main street near Plac Wolności. Open for about twelve years, it is the only place of its kind in the city and the permanent home of six female cats, who move freely between the guest room and resting places out of reach, so they can choose when to make contact. The interior resembles a grandmother's flat, full of trinkets, crocheted doilies, old furniture and cat motifs. The menu lists dozens of teas, served in house-shaped pots, plus coffee, hot chocolate, apple pie, cheesecake and cat-shaped cookies. Guests enter through a double door that staff open one at a time. Kocia Kawiarnia Mruczkowo is a cat cafe and foster home on ul. Dworcowa 52A in central Gliwice, a short walk from the railway station. It opened in 2018 in Zabrze and later moved to Gliwice.
