Kocia Kawiarnia Niebieski Kot

Kocia Kawiarnia Niebieski Kot is Opole's first cat cafe, opened in August 2022 and now operating at Marii Rodziewiczówny 13/A. Founder Anna Neugebauer created the cafe after years of visiting cat cafes around Poland, turning a long-held idea into a quiet, blue-accented space where guests can enjoy coffee, cakes, and time with feline residents. The cafe is home to a group of permanent resident cats and regularly supports adoptions, with each feline given its own distinct personality and place in the space. Its atmosphere is built around calm, respectful interaction rather than forced play, with house rules focused on keeping the cats comfortable, including keeping noise down, not feeding the cats yourself, and letting them decide when they want contact. Cat toys, scratchers, window perches, children's cat drawings, and walls devoted to resident cats, adoptable cats, guest art, and handmade pieces give the cafe a personal, community-centered feel. Niebieski Kot also ties its identity to animal-welfare work, including adoption support and charity efforts for cats in and around Opole.
