Café Moustache
Café Moustache is a café à chats on Rue du 49ème Régiment d'Infanterie in the Poste quarter of Bayonne. It was opened in summer 2026 by Emmanuelle Daragnes, a former veterinary assistant, and works as a foster home: the cats living in the café, such as Mimi, Aya and Brooke, are looking for families and can be adopted by visitors who fall for one. Guests settle into a warm, cocooning room with a coffee, tea, latte, cappuccino, pastry, quiche, cheesecake or savoury tartine and wait for a cat to come over for attention. There is no entry fee, prices are modest, and the room is arranged so the cats can come and go safely. The café suits a sweet break, a quiet read or simply time with the cats, and it is open from Tuesday to Saturday.
