Café Félin Chats-Nous

Café Félin Chats-Nous is a small cat cafe on Rue Saint-Olivier in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste neighbourhood of Québec's Haute-Ville, a few minutes' walk from Rue Saint-Jean and the walls of Old Québec. It occupies an 1860 house that was a corner grocery for most of its history, and the stone and brick walls, exposed beams and old butcher-shop door are still in place. Seven resident cats live in the cafe and wander freely among the tables, often lounging in the front windows. There is no entry fee; visitors order from a cafe menu of paninis, soups, salads, pastries, coffee drinks, smoothies and homemade lemonade, and on weekends a brunch menu of waffles, crêpes and French toast is served, with reservations taken by phone. Board games are available, and the owners sell mugs and colouring books, with part of the proceeds going to a cat shelter. The cafe is closed on Mondays.
