Awaneko Hoikuen

Awaneko Hoikuen is a rescue cat cafe in Tsudahamanocho, Tokushima City, run by a nonprofit that is one of the larger cat rescue groups in the prefecture. Its name means "Awa cat nursery", and visitors can spend time with the rescued cats, all of which are available for adoption. Entry fees go entirely toward the cats' care. Besides the cafe, the group runs a spay and neuter clinic and an active trap-neuter-return programme for community cats, holds adoption events at its shelter, and places some of its cats with partner cafes in Tokushima, including KATBOS. Light meals are available. The cafe is open from noon to 8 PM and closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
