Kattencafé 't Visje
Zutphen, Gelderland
Kattencafé 't Visje is a cat cafe in a listed building on Turfstraat in central Zutphen, near the railway station. Founded by Chaira and opened in October 2024 with help from crowdfunding, it is staffed entirely by volunteers. Seven resident cats live there, most of them from shelters: Norah and her daughters Eli and Ariel, Lotje, found on a farm as a kitten, Benji, Bo and the black cat Levi. They live permanently in the cafe and are not available for adoption. An entry airlock keeps them indoors. There is no entry fee, though donations and tips are welcome. The menu has organic coffee, tea, cakes and sandwiches with vegan and gluten-free options. Booking is recommended, visits run in time slots, and at most three children per slot are admitted, all under 12 accompanied by an adult. Evening events such as bingo are held.
