Jiuwo ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌‌‌‌‌‌​​​‌​​‌‌​​‌‌​‌‌‌‌​​​​‌‌‌‌‌⁠Xiaoyuan is a cat cafe in the courtyard of the Yuyue Inn in Yuexi Village, just outside the east gate of Dali Old Town. Around ten cats live at the guesthouse, among them Maine Coons and golden and silver British Shorthairs, and they wander through the courtyard and rooms. The cafe serves coffee to visitors who come to spend time with the cats.

Lantong ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​‌​‌‌​‌‌​‌‌​​​‌​​‌​‌‌‌​‌‌​‌‌‌​​​‌⁠is a cat cafe on the 11th floor of the Nanping Times Building on Baoshan Street, by Nanping pedestrian street and the Golden Eagle mall in central Kunming; the lift is to the left, facing the Xinhua bookshop. More than 30 cats live here, including Ragdolls, Sphynxes, British Shorthairs, Chinchillas, Siamese, Devon Rex and short-legged cats, along with a few dogs. The shop also breeds and sells cats and dogs.

Wangdefu ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​​‌​‌‌​​‌‌​​‌​​​​‌‌​‌​‌​​‌​​‌​‌​⁠is a three-storey pet cafe on Wenhua Lane, the student street near Green Lake and Yunnan University. Large and medium dogs are on the ground floor, small dogs on the second floor, where shoes are swapped for slippers, and the cats have the third floor to themselves. Entry is charged by the half hour, and treats can be bought to feed the animals. Staff explain each animal's name and temperament.

Tata ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​‌​​​​​‌‌‌​​‌​‌‌‌​‌​‌​​​‌​‌​‌‌‌​⁠Party is a pet cafe on the fifth floor of the Kunbaida Xintiandi mall on Dongfeng West Road, by Nanping pedestrian street. Cats share the space with many dogs, including Shiba Inus and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, an alpaca, a mini pig and rabbits. Visitors buy freeze-dried treats and cat sticks to feed the animals. It is part of the Tata Party chain.

Pupu ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​‌​​​​‌‌‌‌‌‌​​‌​​​‌‌‌‌‌​​‌​​‌​‌‌⁠Miemie is a cat cafe on Xingke Road in Xishan, near the Nanya Fengqing Diyicheng shopping area. The cats are affectionate and visitors can stay without a time limit on the set packages for two. The business also runs a cattery, and kittens are sold.

Baofeng ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​​‌​​​​‌​‌​‌‌‌​‌​​‌​‌​​​​​‌‌‌​​​⁠Xuanfan is a cat and dog cafe on the ninth floor of Building B of Century Plaza in central Kunming, near Nanping Street. Besides the cats and dogs, it has private film-screening rooms and craft activities.

Lijiang, Yunnan

Xiao ⁠‌‌​​‌​‌​​‌‌‌‌​​​‌‌‌‌​​‌​‌‌‌‌‌​​‌‌‌‌‌‌​‌‌⁠Fei is a cat cafe on the second floor of the Yulong Garden building of the Dayan Huaxiang lane, near the north gate of Lijiang Old Town. Two large, friendly dogs greet visitors at the entrance, and more than ten well-fed cats live in the cat room, which has a viewing terrace. Visitors wear shoe covers and sanitise their hands. Packages include a drink, a small cake and food for feeding the cats.

Visitors can play with the resident cats and rent private rooms with PS5 consoles, and the menu covers coffee, milk tea, lemon tea, cocktails and bar snacks. It stays open late.

The courtyard is planted with hydrangeas, daisies and fruit trees, and visitors can hold the cats for photos with the mountain behind. Sangu Maolu is a cattery brand, and cats are sold.
