Little Big House
Thessaloniki, Central Macedonia
Little Big House is a café and small guesthouse at Andokidou 24 in Ano Poli, the old upper town of Thessaloniki, on the way down from the Heptapyrgion fortress and the Byzantine walls. It is best known locally for its cats: a group of neighbourhood cats eat, sleep and spend their days at the café, sitting among the guests, and the owner has them neutered and looks for homes for them. There is no entry fee or booking; service is largely self-service from a menu of coffee, cheesecakes and other homemade cakes, salads and quiches, with many vegetarian and vegan dishes. The roof terrace looks out over the old town's rooftops. The café is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
