Mauhaus Cat Cafe & Lounge

Mauhaus Cat Cafe & Lounge is a cat cafe on Sutton Boulevard in Maplewood, just west of St. Louis. Opened in November 2016 by Dana Huth and Ben Triola, it was the first permanent cat cafe in the St. Louis area. The bright lounge holds around a dozen adoptable cats from Stray Haven Rescue, all vaccinated, spayed or neutered and microchipped, and several usually go home each week. Visits are booked by the hour per person and include a house drink, with lower prices for seniors and children; reservations are strongly recommended and must be made at least two hours ahead, though walk-ins are taken when space allows. Children of any age are welcome with one adult for every two children. The cafe serves coffee and baked goods that change daily, and a monthly low-sensory evening is held for adults.
