Mauhaus Cat Café & Lounge is a cat café where visitors can spend time with adoptable cats from Stray Haven Rescue. It opened on November 12, 2016, as St. Louis’s first permanent cat café, started by owners Dana Huth and Ben Triola after visiting a cat café in Thailand. Guests can book hourly sessions in the cat lounge for $12 per person (ages 13+) or $7 for kids (ages 2-12), which includes a complimentary house drink like coffee or tea and a discount on additional food items such as pastries or savory snacks; kids under 2 are free with an adult. All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Reservations are recommended due to a capacity limit of about 20 people in the lounge, and the space also hosts occasional events like movie nights.
