Nyankuru Naisa
Kanzaki, Saga
Nyankuru Naisa is a rescue cat adoption facility in Kanzaki, run by the local welfare company Mirai Care Group. It opened in January 2026 and doubles as a workplace where people with disabilities, and others looking for a way back into work, help care for the cats. The name plays on the Okinawan phrase for "it will work out". Around ten rescued cats live in the room, and up to seven visitors can come in per hour. Entry is free, and visitors are asked for a voluntary contribution per hour towards food and medical care, with reduced amounts for visitors with disabilities. Visitors sign a waiver before going in, and children must stay with their parents and keep quiet. Adoption involves at least three visits, an application, a review and a trial period. The facility opens on weekdays only, with last entry at 4:30 PM.
