Nekonchi is a rescue cat cafe and cat hotel on the Arza shopping street in Ikeuracho, Izumiotsu, about 5 minutes on foot from Izumiotsu Station on the Nankai Main Line. Around 15 cats live here, a mix of the owners' own cats and adoptable rescues placed by local volunteers, and many enjoy being stroked or sitting on laps. Visitors interested in adopting can ask staff. Visits are charged per 30 or 60 minutes, with a longer weekday option for adults; last entry is an hour before closing, and reservations can be made through LINE. Before opening, a bookable morning hour lets families help feed the cats and clean litter boxes. A small private room at the back lets elementary school children and older spend time alone with a cat. The cafe is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays, while the cat hotel is open every day.
