Hogoneko Cafe Kagishippo
Ibaraki, Osaka
Hogoneko Cafe Kagishippo is an adoption-focused rescue cat cafe in Takehashicho, Ibaraki, about 7 minutes on foot from Hankyu Ibaraki-shi Station, on the third floor of the Hosokawa Building. Since opening in November 2015 it has rehomed more than 400 cats. All of the cafe cats are rescues waiting for adopters, and adoptions involve screening, with cats delivered to the new home later. A cat hotel and a home for elderly cats operate alongside the cafe. Visits are charged per hour or two hours, with a weekday free-time option, and children pay the same rate as adults. Elementary school children are welcome with an adult, up to two per adult, but children cannot visit alone. Reservations are needed at weekends and on holidays. The cafe is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
