It is open on Saturday afternoons and on Sundays and public holidays, with last entry at 4:30 PM; weekday visits are by reservation only, made by phone by the day before. There is a small car park.
Rescue Cat Cafe necoron
Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima
Rescue Cat Cafe necoron is a small rescue cat cafe on Noguchi Hideyo Seishun-dori in central Aizuwakamatsu, about 14 minutes on foot from Nanukamachi Station, which opened around the start of 2026. Seven young, playful rescue cats live in the cafe, and the owner also fosters kittens and has already found homes for some of the cats. The room holds only four visitors at a time, so booking a 30-minute slot online in advance is strongly recommended, especially at weekends. Visits are charged per 30 minutes, drinks such as coffee, tea and seasonal specials are optional, and a limited number of cat treats are sold each day. Cat goods are sold at the entrance, and there are books to read. There is no dedicated parking. The cafe is closed on Thursdays.

Aizu Megoneko
Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima
Aizu Megoneko is a cat cafe on the second floor of a building in Omachi, central Aizuwakamatsu, reached by stairs only. Most of its cats are seniors over nine years old, several of them on the chubby side, along with a couple of younger cats who like to play, so it suits visitors happy to watch sleeping cats and wait for the friendly ones to come over. The room is spacious and clean, with calm background music. Visits are charged per 30 minutes or longer, drinks are self-service, and cat treats are sold; a stamp card gives a discounted visit after five stamps. Children on their first visit are limited to 30 minutes, and hand washing is encouraged on the way in and out. Weekdays are usually quiet. The cafe is open every afternoon, and its parking is at a separate location from the building.
Check each cafe's website for current hours, booking requirements and age restrictions before visiting.
