Mad Cats and More is a family-run cat lounge and shop on Tiogue Avenue in Coventry, next to Borrelli's Bakery. Opened in April 2024, it combines a boutique selling handmade shirts, leashes, collars, keychains and cat toys with a separate lounge where visitors spend time with the cats. Two resident Maine Coons, Zeus and Athena, live there alongside adoptable cats and kittens from the rescue Angels Caring for Animals, which handles applications, vet care and spay or neuter, so the cats change as they find homes. Visits are walk-in and charged by the half hour or hour, with lower rates for visitors aged 17 and under. Bottled drinks and snacks are sold, but there is no cafe. Staff know each cat's history and can explain adoption. The lounge opens daily, from midday on weekdays and from the morning at weekends; occasional closures are posted on Facebook.
