ChatFé
Beauceville, Quebec
ChatFé is a volunteer-run cat cafe in Beauceville, in the Beauce region south of Québec City, operated by Refuge Ami-Maux, a shelter for stray cats. Visitors pay a small entry fee that includes a drink or a snack, then spend time with the shelter's kittens, juniors and adult cats in a bright room where the cats mix freely with guests. All the cats are up for adoption, and adoptions can be arranged on site; the money raised goes straight to rescuing and caring for stray cats in the Beauce. Cat-themed products are sold as well. The volunteers put the cats' health and safety first, so visitors are asked to follow their guidance. Opening hours vary with volunteer availability and are posted on Refuge Ami-Maux's Facebook page and the ChatFé Instagram account, so it is best to check before visiting.
