White Cats Cafe

White Cats Cafe is a two-level cat cafe on Ventura Avenue in the Clearbrook area of Abbotsford, the city's first. The ground floor is a Turkish and European style cafe serving Turkish coffee, baklava, lahmacun, breakfast items, burgers and cakes, and upstairs is a cat lounge with around 30 cats, many of them white Turkish Van and Angora types. Some cats are permanent residents and others came from rehoming or surrender situations; those available for adoption are listed with fees, and adopters apply and are matched rather than chosen first come, first served. The cafe states it does not breed cats. Lounge visits are booked online in 45-minute sessions charged per person. A private party room hosts birthdays and meetings, cat yoga runs in the lounge, and a quiet cat room and a cat hotel for boarding have been announced.
