Whiskers Cat Café Philly
Whiskers Cat Café was a nonprofit cat adoption cafe at 15th Street and Snyder Avenue in South Philadelphia, run by Lina and Timothy Phillips. It opened in April 2024 in a corner storefront that had been a phone shop. The couple had started by trapping and neutering strays near their home in Chester with help from the Cat Collaborative, and the cafe worked with PURR Philly, which received the adoption proceeds. In 2024 it had about 20 adult cats and a separate kitten room. Visits cost $12 for 30 minutes or $17 for an hour, with free coffee, tea, cocoa and water, and adoption fees were $100 for adult cats and $150 for kittens. The cafe first posted that it was temporarily closed until further notice; its Google listing now shows it as permanently closed and its website no longer works.
