Get A Gato

Get ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌A Gato is a nonprofit cat cafe on Christian Street near 6th Street in Bella Vista, South Philadelphia. The front of the building is a full-service cafe and gift shop with Colombian-inspired coffee, drinks and snacks such as empanadas and churros, open to anyone without a ticket. Behind it is a ticketed cat lounge where visitors spend 50-minute sessions with rescued Philadelphia street cats, and the cats can also be seen through an observation window. The cats come from the partner rescues House of the Cat and The Cat Collaborative, and all are available for adoption, though same-day adoptions are not offered. More than 600 cats have been adopted since the lounge opened in April 2024. Reservations are strongly recommended and walk-ins depend on space. Midweek sessions are discounted, and the cafe also offers memberships, volunteer shifts, short-term fostering and events. Contact is by email.
