Wafu Neko Honpo

Wafu Neko Honpo is a Japanese-style rescue cat cafe on the third floor of a building in Takanedai, Funabashi, about two minutes on foot from Takane-Kodan Station on the Shin-Keisei Line. Around 50 to 60 rescued cats live there, and the cafe exists to find them new homes, with adoption handled directly by the staff. Each cat has a profile card that shows how comfortable it is with people. Visits are charged by the hour, with longer stays and a short trial course available, higher rates on Saturdays, and a discount for advance bookings made through the cafe's LINE account. Payment is cash only. The cafe is closed on Sundays, public holidays and during the third week of each month. Opened in 2017, it doubles as a welfare workplace where people with disabilities help care for the cats.
