Tribal Blend Cat Cafe
Tribal Blend Cat Cafe is a coffee shop at 1 Bukoto Street in Kisementi, Kampala, close to Acacia Mall, and describes itself as Uganda's first cat cafe. It was set up with Cat Cradle Rescue Uganda and Appetite Pet Shop, and the resident cats are rescues, several of them living with disabilities, cared for by the charity. The cats are kept in a separate petting room next to the cafe, which guests can book a session in or visit on a walk-in basis, while the main room works as an ordinary coffee shop serving Ugandan coffee, kombucha, cakes and cat-themed pastries. Part of the takings goes to the rescue. All the cats are available for adoption through Cat Cradle Rescue Uganda, and staff can help with an application.
