Kočkafé Schrödinger
Brno, South Moravian0.3 mi / 0.5 km
Kočkafé Schrödinger is a large retro-style cat cafe in Brno's historic centre, reached through the passage of a historic building on Dominikánské náměstí between the New Town Hall and the House of the Lords of Lipá. It opened in October 2019 at Koliště 55, taking over the concept of Envi Café, Brno's first cat cafe from 2015, and moved in summer 2022 into the former Livingstone club, describing itself as the largest cat cafe in Europe. Around ten resident cats, mostly from South Moravian shelters and chosen for their sociable temperament, live there permanently and are not for adoption; a booklet tells each cat's story. The cafe has vintage furniture, a piano, a library and board games, plus the Galerie Felidae with cat-themed exhibitions. Cakes, ice cream and lemonade bases are made in-house. Guests must not give the cats human food, but staff hand out free cat treats that visitors can give them, and children must be accompanied.
