The Whisker Room
The Whisker Room is a coffee shop and cat room on Second Street in downtown Muskegon, in the former Drip Drop Drink space, and the city's first cat cafe. Opened in summer 2025 as an extension of The Arc of the Lakeshore, a nonprofit supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, it provides job training and work experience for staff of all abilities. The cat room has a small rotating group of about five adoptable cats from Big Lake Humane Society, and visitors can apply to adopt them through the shelter. Cat time is sold in short sessions at low prices, booked online or taken as a walk-in when a spot is free, and the cafe serves inexpensive coffee drinks, juice and snacks. The space is designed to be calm and sensory friendly.

The Catz Den
