Seogildong Center
Seogildong Center is a rescue cat shelter with a book cafe on the fourth floor of the Hanil Building in Bugahyeon-dong, opposite the main gate of Chugye University for the Arts. It is run by a local animal welfare group and takes in cats from the euthanasia lists of public rescue facilities, keeping them until they are adopted. Visitors can play with the cats, many of which are affectionate young cats and kittens, and use the book cafe, and volunteers help with cleaning before spending time with the cats. Adoption enquiries are handled by the centre. Because of limited funding it currently opens only on weekends, from 11 AM to 7 PM. From Exit 2 of Ahyeon Station, take village bus 05 or 06 to Jungang Girls' High School, or walk about ten minutes from Exit 1.
