Nina's Cat Cafe
Nina's Cat Cafe is a small rescue cat cafe in central Tirana, on Rruga Vangjush Furxhi just off Rruga Myslym Shyri, a short walk from the Blloku area. Described as the first cat cafe in Albania, it works like an ordinary neighbourhood coffee bar, except that the room is shared with cats rescued from the city's streets. Each cat is checked and treated by a vet before moving in and stays until it is adopted, and the cafe follows up with the new owners afterwards. The space is small, so it usually keeps around five to seven cats, and never more than about ten. There is no entry fee; visitors order drinks such as coffee, fresh juices and soft drinks, and the menu has little or no food. The cafe is named after the founder's own adopted cat, Nina, and is open every day.

Cat Cafe Skopje
Skopje96 mi / 154 km
Cat Cafe Skopje is the city's first cat café, opened in June 2026 in the Rekord area of central Skopje, a short walk from Macedonia Square and the Stone Bridge, behind a pink façade. It was set up by a young couple who had visited cat cafés in Iceland, Portugal, Vietnam and China. Six to seven cats live in the small room, some rescued from the street and others given up by owners who could no longer keep them, and kittens are offered for adoption once they are vaccinated and around six months old, making room for new rescues. Visits work like a regular café: guests order coffee, matcha, other drinks or desserts and spend time with the cats as they roam. Signs set out the house rules, including not picking up the cats, and visitors may not bring their own pets. It opens every day until 11 PM.

Thessaloniki, Central Macedonia171 mi / 275 km
Little Big House is a café and small guesthouse at Andokidou 24 in Ano Poli, the old upper town of Thessaloniki, on the way down from the Heptapyrgion fortress and the Byzantine walls. It is best known locally for its cats: a group of neighbourhood cats eat, sleep and spend their days at the café, sitting among the guests, and the owner has them neutered and looks for homes for them. There is no entry fee or booking; service is largely self-service from a menu of coffee, cheesecakes and other homemade cakes, salads and quiches, with many vegetarian and vegan dishes. The roof terrace looks out over the old town's rooftops. The café is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
