Boardcats
Boardcats is an anticafe with board games and cats on Petra Drapšina street in central Novi Sad, a short walk from the Novi Sad Synagogue. Rescued cats from local shelters live in the café and roam freely among the tables, and the team treats them, gives them a temporary home and helps them find adoptive families. Visitors pay a single charge that covers board games and a drink, then play, work, read or simply spend time petting and playing with the cats. The shelves hold a large collection of board games, many of them in Russian, and the ground floor regularly hosts exhibitions by local artists. The venue also runs master classes and children's birthday parties. It is open from Monday afternoon to Saturday and closed on Sundays.

PurrMačka
Belgrade44 mi / 71 km
PurrMačka is a volunteer-run cat rescue project with a cat coworking space on Bulevar Oslobođenja in Belgrade, a few minutes from Autokomanda. The registered charity rescues sick, injured and abandoned street cats, has them treated, neutered and vaccinated, and keeps the sociable ones in the coworking space while they wait for new homes. Visitors can work on a laptop, have tea or coffee, play with the cats and attend events such as quizzes and parties, and visits are paid through a donation. Weekday visits are arranged in advance through a short online form. Shoes come off at the entrance, guests stay on the visitor floor, children under 14 come with an adult, and visitors must not wake or chase the cats or feed them treats brought from outside. Adoption goes through an application, a meeting with the cat's curator and a contract.
