Cat Café Budapest

Cat ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌Café Budapest is a cat cafe on Révay utca in District VI, a short walk from St. Stephen's Basilica and about five minutes on foot from Deák Ferenc tér. Opened in 2013, it is one of the oldest cat cafes in Central Europe and is spread over several levels. Around 13 to 15 cats live here, a mix of purebred Maine Coons and cats taken in from shelters; all are neutered, vaccinated and under regular veterinary care. There is no entry fee: visitors order from a menu of coffee, hot chocolate, lemonades, cakes, savoury pies, hot sandwiches, wine and cocktails, and a service charge is added to the bill. House rules ask guests not to feed the cats, pick them up, wake sleeping cats or use flash. Children under 10 are not admitted, and booking a table is recommended. The cafe is open every day.
