Cat Museum Budapest

Cat Museum Budapest is a cat lounge combined with a small cat-themed exhibition on Vadász utca in District V, a few minutes from Arany János utca metro station. Opened in 2022, it is home to around ten cats of special breeds, which roam the rooms while visitors look at cat paintings, a porcelain collection, photo walls, a film corner, a tablet quiz and an ultraviolet-lit forest room with a giant Cheshire Cat. Entry is by timed ticket booked in advance on the website, the ticket includes a hot drink, and no more than twenty visitors are inside at once. Visitors must be at least 8 years old. Some cats are vaccinated, tested and available for adoption on site. The venue also runs painting and jewellery workshops in the company of the cats, sells multi-visit passes and has a gift shop. It is open every day.
