Nekototomoni

Nekototomoni is a coworking cafe with resident rescue cats in Hassamu, Nishi Ward, Sapporo, about 1 minute on foot from Exit 2 of Hassamu-minami Station on the Tozai Line. Rather than a hands-on cat cafe, it is a quiet place to read, study or work while the cats go about their day, with 12 seats, Wi-Fi and power outlets. It serves specialty coffee, homemade bagels made with Hokkaido wheat, and monthly homemade sweets. Visitors pay an entry fee and order one drink, with an extra charge for stays over an hour, and part of the fees is donated to rescue groups. Reservations are not taken. The cats are available for adoption, including cats fostered for the Rishiri island rescue group Shimaneko Rishiri, and staff explain the conditions on request. The cafe is closed on Mondays and on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.
