NEKO Seattle
NEKO Seattle is a cat cafe on East Pine Street in Capitol Hill, near Capitol Hill light rail station and the original location of NEKO, which also runs a larger cafe in Bellingham. The front room is a cat-free cafe serving coffee, beer, wine and sake with sweet and savory snacks, and it is open to everyone; large windows look into the connected cat room. The cat room houses 10 to 12 rescue cats from the Alley Cat Project and Regional Animal Services of King County, most of them adoptable, alongside a few permanent residents. NEKO operates as a rescue and handles adoptions in house. Visits to the cat room are 45-minute paid sessions with up to eight guests, best booked online, and private sessions for small parties are available. All ages are welcome, with adult supervision rules for children, and NEKO merchandise is sold in the cafe.
