Neko no Heya Seiwa
Neko no Heya Seiwa is a breeder-run cat cafe two to three minutes on foot from the east exit of JR Higashi-Omiya Station in Minuma Ward, Saitama. On the second floor above a hair salon, it is home to a large number of cats born and raised by the in-house cattery, including Munchkins, Scottish Folds, Exotics, a Ragdoll, a Siberian, an American Curl, a Minuet and Japanese cats, along with kittens that play in the room alongside their mothers. The kittens are for sale, and visitors can arrange to take one home. Visits start from 30 minutes with free drinks included, and a capped all-day rate applies for junior high school students and older. No reservation is needed, though bookings are accepted. Children may enter with a guardian, but elementary-age children are asked not to pick up the cats. The cafe is closed on Tuesdays.
