Naughty Little Cat Park
Naughty Little Cat Park is a cat rescue centre combined with a garden restaurant on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman in Rembiga, in the north of Mataram, Lombok. A local couple care for around 50 rescued cats, from small kittens to elderly cats, which roam freely around the spacious seating area and large lawn; many are cuddly and happy to be held, and most are available for adoption. There is no entry fee: visitors support the rescue by ordering food and drinks, and the menu covers traditional Sasak dishes, international meals, coffee and fresh juices at modest prices. A children's playground makes it popular with families, there is live music in the evening, and a small on-site shop sells cat-themed gifts and merchandise to fund the cats' care. It opens daily from 11 AM to 9 PM.

Black House Cafe
Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara2.3 mi / 3.7 km
Black House Cafe, which bills itself as the first cat cafe on Lombok, is a casual eatery on Jalan Jombang in Pagesangan Timur, in the south of Mataram. It was opened in 2020 by a couple from the Lombok Cat Lovers community, who keep around 30 purebred cats in an air-conditioned cat room where guests can eat and drink with the cats around them; visitors who prefer not to sit with cats can use the outdoor seating, which has no air conditioning. There is no entry fee: guests order from a menu of bakso, seblak, fried rice and other Indonesian comfort food, coffee and cold drinks at local prices. House rules ban laser pointers, rough play, squeezing or throwing the cats and feeding them leftovers. A small cat hotel also operates on site.
