Mňau Kafé
Mňau Kafé is a cat cafe in the centre of Košice, in the passage between Poštová and Mäsiarska streets, a short walk from Hlavná Street. Run by the civic association Mňaukáči, it opened in 2017 and first operated in Prešov before moving to Košice. It is home to eight or nine cats, all rescued from the streets, which roam the cafe freely and have their own back room with beds, litter boxes and a water fountain. The menu includes coffee, matcha, milkshakes, cheesecake, waffles, toasts, panini and croissants. No reservation is needed except for larger groups. House rules ask guests not to wake sleeping cats, to treat them gently and to avoid flash photography; treats may be given only with staff permission, and other animals are not allowed. Cats&Coffee is a cat cafe on Dolná Street in the pedestrian centre of Banská Bystrica, set back in a small passage off the street; guests ring the bell and staff open the door so the cats cannot slip out.
