Mew Haven Cat Cafe
Mew Haven Cat Cafe is a coffee shop and cat lounge on Whalley Avenue in New Haven's Westville neighborhood, at the corner of Blake Street. The lounge holds up to about 30 cats, all from Halfway Home Rescue, which handles adoptions; visitors can apply during their visit. The cafe and lounge have separate entrances: guests check in and order on the cafe side, then enter the lounge for their session. Tickets are sold online for 50-minute visits and three-hour work and study sessions, with discounts for students, teachers, seniors and children, and weekends often sell out.
