Open since 2013, it is a quiet, unpretentious place loved for its two resident cats: Tom, a laid-back, heavyset blue-and-white tuxedo cat found near the old Haimen fortress, and the shyer Xiaohua, who will settle on guests who sit still. The cats are territorial, so please give them space. Seating is limited and shared, dine-in visits last 90 minutes, outside food isn't allowed and you clear your own table. The menu covers espresso drinks, pour-overs with a choice of roast, the citrusy Sicilian coffee and vegetable quiche; food must be ordered with a drink, and only coffee is served on Sundays.
