Mao de Lixiangguo Cat Cafe Zheyoushan
This branch of Mao de Lixiangguo, Changchun's oldest cat cafe brand, occupies two levels on the third floor of the Zhe You Shan indoor mall on Hongqi Street in Chaoyang District, where it opened in 2019. The founder has rescued stray animals since 2012 and none of the cats were bought: they come from rescues and surrenders, and some are available for adoption to adults with a stable home. Each cat wears a coloured collar: blue for cats that can be picked up, red for those that prefer to be left alone. Visitors disinfect their hands and put on shoe covers, and each person orders a drink. Children under 12 are not admitted at this branch, and weekends are busy enough that booking ahead helps.
