Luna Gatuna
Luna Gatuna is a volunteer-run cat adoption centre in Salamanca, on Avenida de Salamanca about a kilometre north of the Plaza Mayor, that also welcomes visitors who simply want to spend time with the cats. The non-profit association takes in sociable cats from the street and from other rescue groups, and they live together in a lounge where visitors can have a drink, read a book, play with the cats or just relax. Visits are arranged in advance by WhatsApp and are open in the early evening from Wednesday to Sunday, with a fixed contribution per person, no time limit before closing, and up to 12 people at once. Children under 14 must come with an adult. Cats are adopted through the association's process and are never taken home on the day of a visit.
